Warm Greeting
A heartfelt greeting is part of what makes a church a church. No matter what question you might have, just ask. Our greeters are there to help you get settled and comfortable.
Casual Atmosphere
A casual atmosphere where friendships can form and relationships deepen. A place that is serious about joy, true joy, the kind of joy that comes from real connection with God and others.
Conversation
Expect to be noticed. Expect people to say something like, “Hi, we haven’t met before, is this your first time?” Expect for people to reach out to you in love.
Music
We love all kinds of music. From traditional hymns to modern worship and spoken word. We intentionally use music that is Christ exalting, stirring our hearts to love and honor him.
Truth
The Bible tells us to speak the truth in love. Each Sunday we hear a message from the Bible meant to challenge our minds, engage our hearts and affect our living. Our typical Sunday series is based on books of the Bible. We call this expository preaching because our purpose is to expose the truth of God’s word, systematically, book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse.
What kind of people make up Providence Road?
We want our church to look like our community. Miami is a city of diversity with people from different ethnic, socioeconomic, cultural, and religious backgrounds. Just as God extends his love to all people, we also welcome all to explore what it means to be a part of what God is doing here.
I’m not really a “church-goer,” am I welcome?
Absolutely. We aim to be a comfortable place for those who are curious about God but have never felt comfortable in church. Perhaps you are skeptical about Jesus and have doubts, or maybe, you attended church previously but have stopped attending for different reasons. We want to be a place where you can learn about and wrestle with what it means to follow Jesus. It’s okay if you don’t have it all figured out, in fact, that’s a good place to start.
Will you have anything for children?
Yes. We welcome children of all ages. Our Sunday worship service has a structured time for kids in a safe and secure environment. This time is a fun moment for the kids and a great way for them to connect with other children as well. The kids are separated into multiple age groups and spend their time in singing worship songs and interacting with lessons from the Bible. Each children’s worker is a trained volunteer who has passed a background check to ensure your child’s safety.
Truth
The Bible tells us to speak the truth in love. The Bible is God’s truth. At Providence Road we seek to understand and apply God’s truth to our lives at every level. From our pulpit to our Community Groups you will quickly discover we are all about the Scriptures.
